wicklow county council are introducing a new parking system on the main street in greystones. dermot foley landscape architects, together with wsp group, designed the scheme to tender and it is due to be complete by the end of 2009.

a detailed survey of the streetscape formed the basis for a simple, yet innovative scheme. proposed materials include granite, timber and corten steel. details including kastell kerbs and gulleys are designed in granite to form part of the overall paving scheme. all services are being re-routed underground. this project is the ‘pilot project’ for the wider implementation of the new parking system and re-designed streetscape.
